Utilities Suppliers
Period Properties undertake all the paperwork for transferring utilities suppliers for tenants, both coming into the flats and when you leave, this keeps continuity of supply from one tenant to another, if we didn’t do this, new tenants might well find they have the flat and pay rent on it, yet as often happens the utility provider, can’t attend to turn on supplies for up to a week.Existing tenants vacating may finish up in another week’s rent period because Utilities can’t attend on the day of leaving. To make things flow we put into our contracts a clause stipulating that you must not change supplier, i.e. you start your tenancy with a specific gas/electric/water supplier/you finish it with the same gas/electric/water supplier.
However, in the light of recent cost increases, we feel it’s only right to allow tenants to get the best deal, you must let us know when you transfer and to whom you transfer to.
